I got another letter from Rara and, among the other various conversations and trains of thought, she mentioned:

“Does anyone need research material about anything in here?  I could get you the info or contact to a particular inmate.  Car thief, arsonists, bank robbers, escape artists, drug dealers, gang members – you name it.”

Our beloved dinosaur is making friends across the spectrum and, like Pokemon, she’s trying to collect them all.

So, writing a novel or short story and want some insight on something from someone who has lived through a similar scene or situation?  Pass along your questions and/or topics of interest and need and Rara will get the answers for you.  Because she is amazing like that.  Always, absolutely always, thinking about and trying to help others.  That’s who she is.

The argument escalated into a shoving match forcing Kali to stand nearer the dead lying on the floor.  She stared downward at the torn skin and dark rolling blackness that seemed to grow underneath it.  The blood seemed darker then normal human blood but also thicker.  It seems to amass like a pillow under the broken jaw of the zombie.

Outside the windows of the garage door Kali could also see the argument.  The black leather wings lashed in many directions till a shot echoed through the garage.  A set of wings suddenly stopped and disappeared.  A prominent voice echoed loudly.

“Alright, enough!”  It said as Kali watched a taller vampire appear within the windows.  It was taller then the others and upon it’s face was a hockey mask.  “We now have two seconds to get upon that roof and destroy this human station and every human within it.  Now move!”

• What book have you always wanted to read, but haven’t? Why?The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck.
  Until 2012 I had not read him (I read The Pearl last year and LOVED it). I had no notion of Steinbeck and the physical book didn’t look appealing, maybe also because the blurb talked too much about his success and not enough about the book. The hype I guess.

Lets face it, love isn’t  easy. No one knows that better than Flynn and Charlotte, they fell in love at first sight but the world seems to be against them. Flynn has been having nightmares and they are starting to cross over into reality. No one believes Flynn and his therapist decides it would be best if Flynn spends a little  time in a mental hospital, where he meets Charlotte.

Charlotte is half human, half somnali and is the daughter of the Greek God of erotic nightmares,  Brash. Being somnali means that Charlotte can enter dreams and prey upon humans, causing them to die in their sleep. Nyx, The Greek goddess of the night, knows that Brash’s children are killing humans and decides to put a stop to it. She states that if Flynn survives the torture from the somnali, she will grant Brash’s family more power, but if Flynn…

If I am not kind, then I should expect to be treated badly.  It may not be today… but it may be a time when I really need it.

I am the first person to say that I am not the expert in anything.

3. Read other Author’s work without an AGENDA . . .

No one in the world wants to be pre-judged. You have a genre that you feel comfortable with, that’s great. However, branch out and test the waters with other genres without any judgement. You will be happy you did!

4. Always read a book from COVER to COVER . . .

If you talk to a person, you don’t walk away during mid-sentence – that would be rude. Don’t do that to your fellow Authors!
